A continuing classic
Halo 2 is probably the best in the series. Many may argue that Halo 3's many new maps, high definition graphics, and new vehicles weapons and modes make it the best, I rest with Halo 2. First of all, the campaign is much better than Halo and slightly better than that of Halo 3. The game also is at a perfect sci-fi state without being too ridiculous. Halo 3 gets a little out of hand and ends up being just too ambiguous. Once past the Halo 2 ending (which leaves you really curious and a great hook for Halo 3) you would naturally move on to Multiplayer. The multiplayer of Halo 2 is, to say the least, fantastic. There are always people online looking for games to play and you can customize the games in so many different ways to your liking. It gets a little hectic at times but is built so that skill is really all that matters, perfect for a great FPS

trash
This game is absolute trash. In fact the whole Halo series is trash. The whole idea of an inter-galactic warrior batteling space creatures is a dumb idea. I played all of the games in the series and after 10 minutes with each of them I wanted to gauge my eyes out. Wht don't you go out and buy a real game like Saints Row, Call of Duty, Rainbow Six, or any other game that isn't this.If you even think about buying this you might as well throw your money into a fire and watch it as it slowly burns.

live
if you don't have xbox live, it is still a great game.... but xbox live is the best way to play.

Decent, at best
This game is a matter of comparison. It's SP, compared with its predecessor, is complete garbage. You get about two levels in, and you start to wonder why you are still holding the controller. If you want to keep up with the story, then play the SP game, and pay close attention, as it is rather complex. If you don't plan to get H3 and finish out the story line, then you probably won't have the patience to finish the game. As for the MP, it is better than the first one. Which is not to say it is good, as the balance factor is terrible (battle rifle, plasma pistol, rocket launcher, and sniper rifle - thats it, the only worthwhile guns in the game, roughly in order of importance). The only more unbalanced online shooter I have played in recent memory was . . . well . . . Halo 1. Overall, it is only valuable as a segue between Halos 1&3. Otherwise, avoid it, its not worth the time.

Just recently...
Halo 2 I just recently purchased HALO: Combat Evolved and HALO 2 from Amazon. Just yesterday I received both in the mail =). I was extremely pleased with the graphics, I am saving up to buy a XBOX 360 and HALO 3 ($[...] refurbished by Gamestop ,) I am so ready to pass the insolent levels of covanent! I am playing non stop everyday =)!!! GOOD GAME!!

Great Halo
This was purchased as a gift for my son and he loves it. He completed the first one and is on his way to completing this one. Halo 2 is a little shorter than the first one but is still worth it if you liked the first Halo. I have played it a few times with him and it's not bad. I think this one may be better than the first, but it's a hard choice because they are both good. This plays fine on the Xbox 360, by the way, just as the first one does.

The sequel to the game that sold Xbox systems.
Halo 2 seems to have disappointed a lot of fans, while also attracting many new ones. I'm a fan of the series as a whole, and still consider Halo 2 to be a solid and worthy addition to the series. This game really was a graphics standout when it came out. it pushed the original Xbox to its limits. I don't think there was a better looking game at the time for consoles in my opinion. This isn't to say it didn't have its share of problems. Indeed it had its share of texture pop in and frame rate issues, probably a result of pushing the Xbox too far. The soundtrack is generally the same as the one from the original Halo, but with a bit more rock music. I didn't really notice any improvement in terms of sound effects from the last game. Not exactly revolutionary, but still good. The campaign is pretty short, a main complaint of fans including myself. Many people complaining bout the ending, but i think its fine, it leaves you wanting more. There's actually some pretty good plot twists in the story this time around, although nothing quite as big as the introduction of the flood. A cool thing they added this time around is the introduction of the arbiter, a hardcore Elite executioner. You can also use Elite swords now, which are awesome. They got a rid of a couple old weapons from Halo: Combat Evolved, but have also added some news ones, trying to make them more balanced. You can also now dual wield smaller one handed weapons. What really added tot he game this time around is the online multi-player. People are still playing years after the game has been released. Its definitely a great online shooter experience that adds a lot of replay-ability. A very awesome game with balanced weapons and vehicles, a good but short campaign, and groundbreaking graphics. This is a game to be experienced.

I absolutely loved it
I hadnt played a video game for over 5 years, since Playstation 1. I then buy an XBox 360 and this game came with the purchase as it was able to be played for the 360. So this was my first game I played in 5 years. I had surround speakers for the XBox and I just fell in love with this game. I havent played it in a year so theres only so much I can say. But you'll surely like it. I dont need to go in depth with the game and point out some minor flaw and compare it to other versions lol. But the music for this game, the scenery, the adventures, the story is just remarkable. When I eventually beat it (its a long game and I liked that), this cool music was playing, it felt like I was in a movie, I was so happy when I beat it. I felt as if I was the character I played and we did it lol. We saved the universe. It took so long to finish the game and it was an amazing experience. Especially with surround sound playing in the dark on your bed, you become apart of the game and it takes you on a wild ride. Buy it, you cant go wrong, nice addition to your collection at a cheap price.
