Do Not Buy Homemedics I bought a Homemedics scale about two months ago. The battery runs out about every two weeks. At $3.50 a pop, this scale has become very expensive fast. You call the 800 number and of course they expect a receipt and for me to ship it to them for replacement. Talk about lack of customer service! Terrible company - terrible scale!!!	1	Today
Powerful weight watching tool This thing is great. Once you get it all set up-it works like a charm. Unfortunately I don't really use it for everything its made to do...but if you want a good scale-this is it.	4	Today
Decent Scale The scale seems to calculate everything as it should. I thought the body fat calcuation was incorrect, so I went and had it done on another machine with similar results. I, however, do not think the weight measurement is accurate. It seems to be a few pounds low and there is no way to reset or adjust an offset from the setting. If you want to feel skinner than you are, you cant go wrong.	4	Today

A Quality Scale That Performs As Advertised TRI-FITNESS HealthStation I purchased this scale when our old one didn't survive the curiousity of our 3-year-old grandson. I wanted an accurate scale and this model had come up as one of the best at a site that reviewed such things (don't recall its address now or I would have included it in my review). At first I had some problems because our bathroom has thick carpeting on the floor. I took it out to the garage and it performed perfectly well. At last we had a use for an extra carving board that family had given us. Plopped it down on the bathroom carpet and set the scale on it. All functions worked as the manual stated. I like its looks too. I don't need all the bells and whistles that it can do if you stand on it with damp bare feet, so now I just get on it and read my weight.	5	Today
works very well This product works well and seems to give accurate readings from day-to-day. The display is a little confusing once it starts scrolling through your H2O%, bone mass, calorie predictor, etc. but I'd buy it again if given the choice.	4	Today
Best one out there I purchased this Homedics scale several years ago after reading the Prevention article, and have been satisfied with the accuracy and consistency of the readings. The fat % was very close to the number from my fitness trainer. As it has aged, it seemed to be sticking on a number until I'd lost over a lb, then it would change. I needed a second scale and purchased the Omron HBF-500. When I stepped on that scale 5x in a row, all 5 weights and fat % were different. Not only was it not consistent, but the fat % was 5% higher than the one from my trainer. It made me appreciate how well done the Homedics is and forgive it for the 'sticking'. So if you are researching which fat monitor scale to buy, I'd recommend the Homedics over the Omron. Its even easier to use.	4	Today
Good overall value Similar to another review I read, I opened the box, installed the battery and got nothing but error messages (error1 to be exact). I tried reinstalling the battery and was getting quite frustrated when I noticed an extremely small swith on the back of the unit to move from metric to standard measurements. I moved it to metric and then back to standard and the scale started working. My guess is that it slid somewhere in between the two options during shipping. After the frustration passed, I found the scale quite easy to program and use. I don't like the fact that I need to have "damp" feet to gain an accurate measurement on anything other than weight, but I suppose the knowledge is worth the effort. This really is a very good scale and seems to cover a lot of worthwhile measurements with fairly decent accuracy. I would recommend it as a value buy.	4	Today
Great Bathroom Scale! I found a review on this product in Prevention Magazine Online before making this purchase. This unit exceeds expectations. Accuracy is impressive for both weight and body fat percentage. The display is easily read, even for us senior citizens. It's sturdily built with a great warranty. This is a very effective tool for monitoring a diet and/or exercise program. We've only been using it for two months but we're very happy with our choice. A tip of the hat to Amazon.com for making such a quality product so affordable.	5	Today
I like it! Great scale!!! I love all of the read-outs it gives!!! Couldn't ask for more. The only down side is that you need the instruction paper to use it sometimes because the buttons aren't very user friendly. It ussualy takes me a min or two to figure out how to pring up my user profile (it stores 4 or 5 users info). Other than that I think this is an AMAZING scale! I would reccomend it to anybody interested in monitoring their muscle mass (in .lbs)and body fat percentage. Works flawless as just a regular old-fashion scale too. One of the features that I thought was cool was that when it tells you your weight it also tells you how many calories you have to eat in a day to maintain that exact weight. Then on the very next screen it tells you what your ideal weight should be and how many calories you need to take in to acheive your ideal weight (weather its more or less). It says that I am about 5 .lbs under my ideal weight right now but I think its wrong about that cuz I think I'm more like 5 .lbs over. So even though this is a cool bonus feature I wonder about its accuracy... I would probably purchase this exact same scale if I were to do it again.	4	Today
